Booking Terms and Conditions

All terms are per week (Saturday to Saturday) unless specified.

Only those persons named on the booking form are entitled to stay in the accommodation, and the total number in your party shall not exceed the advertised capacity (4).

A baby under the age of 2 and sleeping in a cot is not included in this number. Well behaved pets are allowed by prior arrangement; house rules apply, and pets should not be left alone and unattended at any time. Once a deposit is paid the contract is binding.

A non-returnable deposit of £50 is payable with each booking and the remaining balance will be due 4 weeks prior to the commencement of your stay. The full amount is payable if less than 4 weeks between booking and holiday. All cheques made payable to N C Hopwood.

If, once, you have paid a deposit, you find that you have to cancel your booking, please notify us by telephone followed up with an immediate written confirmation of cancellation. The initial £50 deposit is non-returnable.
If you have to cancel once you have paid the full cost we will do our utmost to re-let the accommodation in which case you will be returned the balance owing - 20% to cover administration costs. In the event that the accommodation cannot be re-let the full amount is payable. We advise you to take out insurance to cover any problems or cancellations.

Your accommodation is cleaned before your arrival, please leave it and its contents clean and tidy and in the same condition it was found. The owner of the property should be compensated for any damage and breakages which may occur. It may be necessary at certain times of the year/occasions to request a deposit to cover damage and excessive cleaning; this would be discussed at the initial booking. Your accommodation will be ready for you from 3:00 pm onwards on your start date.
Please make sure that you leave by 10.00 am on the day of departure. If this is not convenient please let Nickie know as some flexibility is possible.

All bills are included in the cost of the holiday; heating is via a heat pump with circulating warm air. There is a wood burner in the sitting room with a supply of wood, additional wood may be brought by yourself or purchased from Nickie.

One hand towel and one bath towel per person will be included together with bed linen and kitchen linen. There is ample parking outside the cottage with additional space nearby. Your vehicles and their contents are left entirely at your own risk as are all personal belongings left in the property. You must notify us of any shortcomings with your accommodation immediately so that action can be taken.

The owners may enter the premises at a reasonable hour with due notice (except in emergency) for inspection purposes. Any breakages or damage should be reported, a charge may be made.

For the convenience of our guests we operate a no smoking policy. All reasonable facilities have been provided to enable holiday makers to be as environmentally friendly as possible including colour coded dustbins to separate waste.

We cannot accept bookings from anyone under 18 years of age.
